I come from the Philippines. What is the best option to make my travel cheaper? Should I take the rail to visit other major European cities? Can I make the arrangements here in the Philippines or do this when I get to Vienna? Is there any way of knowing how much it will cost me if I take the rail with Vienna as the point of origin? Kindly help me. This is my first time in Europe.

Well, Bratislava (Slovakia) is the closest and if you have time for only one trip, there are shuttle coaches between the two. But then Kraków (Poland) is really not very far away north, or Budapest (Hungary) - south. As for cheap train travel, there are various discount plans, but you have to ask at your local travel agent, because not all options are open to various nationals.
