I love living in the countryside. I've lived in Yorkshire all my life, and if and when i want to go somewhere swarming with traffic, congestion, noise and pollution,i just catch a bus,or go in our 'too big' 4x4, which is a Land rover which normally carries two adults, two kids, and a rather large dog. For some reason, because we actually make proper use of the road by NOT having two cars and just one slightly larger one,we have been penalised with even more road tax. Anyway, that's by the by,and i just wanted to have a good moan, as us Yorkshire types like too. We go strawberry picking in the summer, the Fields glow in the twilight, plenty of space for outdoor cooking,we shoot our own dinner-how fresh can you get it,and we use local producers instead of greedy gits like Tesco, who put god knows how many farmers out of work every year. Apart from maybe a night out,or the necessity to buy clothes(no, i don't go as far as knitting my own jumpers),i don't go into a town or city very often, and I'm always glad i can get away from it.The same cant be said if you live in a city. Apart from having everything on your doorstep, making us a tad lazy, might i add, i cant see any advantages to living in a build up, crowded smelly place (yes, we may get the smell of manure, but at least its good for the lungs!)

Yes. I lived in Scotland for three-and-a-half years during the eighties and, from time-to-time, I'd get on a train and visit one of my female penpals for a weekend in Blairgowrie.

Now the countryside in Perthshire is amazing. The air is truly fit to breathe in, unlike London {#1 for filth}. Blairgowrie also has a village, where traffic isn't like Oxford Street and you can even buy a pint in a pub and take it onto the triangle green in the outdoors. Nearby there is a brook. We both had a lot of fun in there!!!! ;o):o)

Take a train to Scotland, but anywhere away from the rather crowded cities, such as Edinburgh, Dundee and Glasgow. I recommend a weekend in the Scottish countryside to anyone especially if it's romance you're after {and a little more on the side, of course!!! ;o):o)}.

Good luck and have fun!!!!

Love,

Russtti xx

I was born in the city, and I moved to the country side for 5 years, and came back to the city again...
The country side’s advantages are: quite, safe, and cleaner.
Disadvantages: Hard for someone who was born and lived in the city to live there...
Any way, it was not a very bad expeience....
The fresh air was the best thing there....

Live in the country and will be sadden if and when I have to move back into a subdivision. In the country it's nice to see the wild critters run around the yard.

I absolutely adore country living - to be at one with nature, hear the birds singing when you wake up in the morning, nothing can beat it. If I want city noise then I can find it, but I can't find peace and tranquility living in the city. Above all it is also stress free and relaxing.

Love it!

I live in the suburbs - but the country side is only about a 3min walk from where I am.

It is so peaceful and clean. Love it!

I would rather hear the birds than cars.
