I wouldn't ask anyone to pay for anything at my wedding. The dress and flowers are not hers to pay for. If you ask someone to be in your wedding, you pay. I wouldn't give her a dime.

Since when does the Maid of honor have to help out the bride. If the couple want to get married and the parents can't afford to help them they should pay for their own wedding. I'd tell her that it's not my problem but hers. To bad if she doesn't like it.

Sounds as though the bride went over budget!
Traditional speaking, the Bridesmaid has no obligation to pay for any flowers.

The bride should condsider a wedding planner, but if she cant afford flowers, she most likely cant afford a planners services.

There are books she can get, maybe at the Library but most certainly any large book store that can give her the traditions of what the brides familly pays for and what the grooms family pays for. The budget is what she needs to stick to though!

I agree with the Best Man , NO ..

Don't quite understand but I don't think the maid of honor should be paying for that since she already helped pay for the dress. Listen to the best man.

I would tell her if she can't pay for her own wedding, she should have stuck to more of a budget, the maid of Honor has already payed more than was her to pay for.

I don't think that anyone should ever make their family members feel obligated to pay $400 for anything, unless someone has been kidnapped. Weddings are no exception.
