He stated flat out that,

"The war in Iraq has hurt the United States far more than it has helped and we have created more terrorist!"

I use to think he was insane, finally he makes some sense.

Good for you Pat, I have renewed respect!

Are the Conservatives coming around, well some?

He's been saying that for some time. It's virtually the only thing I agree with him on.

Buchanan is a conservative-populist who has been called everything in the book by the zionist crowd. If you support the state of Israel, then you are a zionist-plain and simple. It does not matter what race, religion, or creed that you are. Buchanan is also a protectionist and somewhat of an isolationist. I like him and those who hate him are zionists or people who want us to sell our country to China and India.

Pat has been against virtually ANY US intervention in global conflict for as long as I can remember.
He has been especially critical of ANY war effort in the MidEast as far back as when Clinton was advocating ousting Saddam.
I always find it amusing when liberals find a single conservative - one whom they have reviled for decades - who agrees with them on a single issue...suddenly that same hated conservative is 'a voice of reason'.
You guys are a riot!

Pat does have his lucid moments. I think that the majority of conservatives, when they look at the situation objectively, would agree with him.

Pat once said, "Build a wall around America..." At the time, even I thought that was "extreme." Now, I must say, he had a point.

Buchanon holds the belief that intervention militarily is wrong headed at times, and, holds the tenants of U.S. isolationism as a strong stance.

William F. Buckley has said the same thing.

But the Bush kool-aid drinkers ignore them.
