I find that when you're wearing black, short nails do look better, but black does give the illusion of shorter nails so it's ok to grow them out a bit more. Most people agree that black on long nails is a bit odd, I've tried it and it looks fine as long as they're not too long. Keep them square if you're going to wear them long.

everyone thought I was crazy when I was wearing it about 17 years ago so I'm glad to see that it is more "acceptable" even if I am to old to wear it now. I love it on both long and short nails. It's like having black olives on your fingers. Did you ever do that when you were little, like having Heckle and Jeckel on your fingers.

Yes, I do!! When I was a teenybopper (wow...20 years or so back - gheeesh Sleek - oh GAWD, I've just DEPRESSED myself!! oh man! I'm trippin! okay, back to the question) I used to wear it and my uncle used to say, "Girl! Stop slamming your hands in doors!" Now, though, I don't wear the black. I might try some reeaaaaly dark red or chocolate. Yep.

I do like it. I don't have the personality or the look to wear it myself, but I think it looks good on the right type of person. Good for you if you can carry it off......I like it on Ozzy.

Who doesn't? My mom doesn't let me wear it because she says its gross or something, but i have this dark plum that looks black with the right amount of coats. Yay!

I love the way it scares old people when my teen aged son puts it on. Momma loves to dress him up and go to the mall.
