do you really think childbirthing classes really help? i never went with my first and i think i did pretty good, i had an all natural birth and i dont think i punched anyone...i mean do you really remember your breathing patterns when u are 8 cm dilated??

I did take the classes, and the breathing did help DURING dialation, but I had to have a C-section so I don't know anything past 6 centimeters. I also did the Bradley method and it really did help with the back labor.

Yes classes helped me a lot; or rather reading a book and practicing it on my own. My husband took a picture of me during a contraction in transition. It looked like I was asleep. I did not have any pain medication with all four of mine. I used the Bradley method.
