Is there a way to play the popular Xbox 360 FPS games such as call of duty 3 in the third person perspective?

Because I don't like to play games in the first person perspective.

Doubtful. Most of online games for video consoles are RPGs, Role Playing Games. Third person perspective game is more common on PC online games. Strategic games are what I usually go for, starcraft and warcraft, etc.

unfortunately for you the games were designed in third person so no.
