I'm looking for something that lasts long and will prevent me from tanning at all. What should I look for on the label? Any specific brand that works best? Any help would be much appreciated,thanks!

You shoul try to get a sunscreen with a really high spf... the highest i have ever seen was 45.. which you definatly wont get burned if you watch yourself. Put on the sunsreen ever few hours, and after you do lots of swimming you should put more on, to prevent burning!

Go for a high SPF; higher has more protection. I find Coppertone works well - I use the oil free kind with a SPF of 45. If you want even higher protection, you can get baby sunscreen with an SPF of 50 or 60. Reapply often, too, to make sure your sunscreen doesn't rub off.

Any sunscreen with an SPF of 45 or higher. But you have to reapply every 4-5 hours. The active compounds in sun blocks are not very stable and when exposed to light they tend to break down after some time .

I live in Australia, where the sun kills you in summer. Any sunscreen with a skin cancer association logo and a SPF 30+ rating is the best. In your country you might not have the skin cancer association logo but any SPF 30+ sunscreen that is water proof will give you the best protection.

Shade and the night!! Actually, I tend to burn more with sunscreen than without it. ( I'm a blue-eyed blond, and live in the west above 4500 ft. altitude).
