I don't know if it was the best action but I actually took the blame for something I did not do - just to save two friends from getting into big trouble.

I didn't care because I was p*ssed off that person at the time (the one who was shouting abuse in my face). I just stood there and pretty much said nothing. probably doing that even annoyed him even more. Lol.

He's the idiot and I hope he will find out that what he did was wrong some day and feel really bad about it!! My friends never thanked me - cheers(!) Not seen them for a long time now... I doubt I'd stand up for them again next time.

Outcome of this... I guess I got wiser?

I was an English teacher earning enough to get by. Then I switched to become a fashion model, with a few hours spent posing for a magazine cover, I earned the equivalent of a whole month's pay as a teacher. The new job enabled me to travel far & wide visiting half the world, which I couldn't have done even if I worked till I dropped with a teacher's salary.

I can't really answer this question. Who's to say that not taking that action wouldn't have given you a better outcome in the long run.

I have no claim to wisdom, but the best decision I ever made was to leave Medical School and study Chemistry.
Then spent a very happy 40 + year working in the chemical industry.
