Has anyone had 4 or more children? Were you much bigger with your fourth than your other's? How did you handle insensitive comments?

Im pregnant with my fourth, due in 7 weeks and everywhere I go people are telling me how big I am. So-called friends at the office, are like come out baby. Do they not realize my baby is only about 4 lbs, and still has vital development in the last few weeks. I feel like they are trying to get me to have my baby premature, and I most certainly do not want to deal with that at all. How can I tell theese people to back off!? Even my m-i-l is now saying im going to deliver early because im so big. I wasnt little at all before I got pregnant, and ive only gained 33 lbs so far. How can I very nicely, or even assertavly handle theese, Im at the end of my rope!

I am 7 weeks away from having my 4th and am huge too. I was bigger when I got pregnant but have only gained weight in my tummy. I was no where near this big with my other 3. Anytime someone says something about my baby coming out I remind them of her weight and length and I also remind them that I go to the doctor regularly and that if she got concerned I would let them know. Also... If they continue to bother you ask them why. Say "just wondering why you want me to have a premature baby and have to deal with all of the scary issues with that?" They will get your point. Good luck..

Ah, receiving all those unsolicited opinions is SO much fun, isn't it? Short of wearing a sign telling others how far along you are and that they are NOT to comment, you will probably hear those lovely remarks until after you deliver.

I feel for you.

When I was pregnant with my fourth (and more) I received all those annoying comments too. They are unavoidable, so I simply smile, nod and forget. In reality, even your doctor or midwife cannot predict when a baby will come unless a cesarean or induction is planned. If babies are anything, they are unpredictable.

Congratulations!

I have had four. I gained the least with the last one and the most with the first one. I think a lot of it is hormones and fluid retention. My last one was the largest, but he was only 7 lbs. 6 oz.

My sister just had her 7th - all women are different, but she was definitely bigger with the last couple. She was showing A LOT after 8 weeks. With her first couple you wouldn't have known she was pregnant until the 6th or 7th month.

I don't see why your so bothered about it. The baby will come when its ready. These people talking about it won't make it come any sooner. In up to 7 weeks, they won't have anything to worry about, so chill and concentrate on getting ready for your new baby. Congrats and God Bless.

Have an ultrasound done. You may have multiples.
