wear your pants BELTED at the top of your thighs, with your a** cheeks completly hanging out over the top of your pants???? I just don't get it. I really want some anwsers from guys who wear thier pants this way. PLEASE explain why this is cool. Please try and keep smartass anwsers to a minimum.

My personal opinion is that this trend started in poor families where kids had to wear hand-me-down clothes that were too big for them, and now they wear this out of some sort of pride in their roots. Personally, to me it looks like the person doesn't have a clue about personal appearance. I can only hope it disappears as fast as the polyester leisure suits did after the '80s.

it started in the mid-late 90's baggy jeans evolved to what you see now, and it probably wont go away soon because it's on the music videos, tv, etc. i wear baggy jeans and they're waaaaay more comfortable than plain ol' straight leg jeans. It doesn't bother me, hopefully for you it's just a phase/trend and it will pass.

A rebellion against the former fasion to wear clothes that actually fit and flatter you, basically. each new trend it just a rebellion against the last one.
