Great question!
Unfortunately, I have to confess that your question should be changed. You see, at the beginning, The Simpsons were the best. And if they were still like during the beginning, they would be number 1. But they have REALLY gone downhill since the earlier shows. They rely on Bart being chocked by Stupid Homer, and having Marge do something that makes her stronger, Lisa doing something that makes her smarter, or "revealing" more phasets to Maggie's personality.
Little comedy effect remains alive.
So my list would be like this:
1. Futurama
2. Family Guy
3. The Simpsons
A lot of people dismiss Futurama. But it's actually a very innovative, grow-up version of semi-realistic cartoon comedy. It's pretty good. And it doesn't care if it's funny or not. It just is. And that's cool.
