I have had fish for 12 years, so I know a lot about them, but I am just wanting everyone's opinions on the subject. I have a 29 gallon tank with 2 bloodfin tetras, 3 yoyo loaches, and two 4-5 in. plecos (yes, I know I should get rid of one since they will grow so big...but that's not an option...). What fish could/should I add with my present fish, and how many? I am looking for a fish that is very hardy also...I have a great balance with the fish I have in there now, but a few more "swimming" type fish would be nice, although the yoyo loaches are so funny to watch. Any ideas?

I've had mollies before and they don't work too well with my water (it's bottled water...but I don't want to add salt). Any other ideas? I've had cories before also, but I am looking for something besides bottom-feeders.

The reason to get rid of one of the Plecos is not size,it's the fact that eventually, when they reach sexual maturity, one will kill the other. You should also add a few more Blood-fins,since they are schooling fish.

The main danger in the tank are the loaches so you can't really have little fish like guppies. Big Mollies might be OK. If you wanted an energetic half hardy fish , you could get a pictus catfish. (there are a little challenge do). The tetras will mostly be affected by large fish, but you could buy some sharks, eels( small ones are good),barbs. My best recommended fish would be to get some danios. They are super energetic and very very hardy, but they like to jump a lot. They shouldn't have a ploblem.

If you dont want to get rid of it get a crayfish to do the job, Crayfish are awsome, they will eat any extra fish, there gonna get rid of(eat) your plecos, and when the fish see that they will stay away, and feed the crayfish shrimp pellets, crayfish are very hardy, can survive without food gor weeks( but with th other fish in there he wont have to wait for weeks, LOL.

A small school of zebra danios would add some action to the tank. So would a few congo tetras.
