The greatest teacher of all time is "TIME."
We always say "hindsight is 20/20." We learn lots through the simple passage of time. Just think how much better your life would be if we could learn from time before time actually occured.

Plato was a writer of philosophical dialogues, a mathematician, and the founder of the Academy in Athens, the first institution of higher learning in the western world.
His Mentor, Socrates is widely credited for laying the foundation for Western philosophy.
I would have difficulty deciding between these two as one is the founder of learning through thinking and the other institutionalized learning.

It would have to be Jesus because he still has people studying hi teachings today. then there is Abraham Lincoln,Martin Luther King. Gandhi.

Jesus. Look at how many followers He had. A lot of people who aren't Christian view His teachings as worthy of following, e.g. love your neighbor as you love yourself, turn the other cheek, and so on.
