Even in states routinely carried by Republicans, when, the data is broken down by district, people from cities strongly vote democratic, and, the state is carried Republican, by, the density of population in the countryside.

Really? Then provide links to the specific polls which support your contention so that we can all review the data and decide for ourselves. The answer to your question is no and it smacks of the worst form of elitist claptrap so favored by some on the left. Get over your superiority complex and you might see that there are well educated people in the country as well as the city. Political ideology is not a mark of superior intelligence and it is not a geographic phenomenon.

Take "narrow-minded" out of your question and you might have a valid point of discussion. As it is, you've pretty well hit on the answer. Polling data are not objective or trustworthy because of the bias built into the questions. Of course, urban liberals like to think your premise is true, but it's too easy to make too much of such things. And what to do with uneducated urbanites or highly educated rural people?
I'd suggest to you that you take with a grain of salt any poll results you read, unless you know the methodology and the specific questions of the poll, and the biases or potential interests of the pollsters.

Is this a real question?
The unfortunate mistake most 'educated' people make is that they are more enlightened than others. There's always two sides to story whether you know/understand it or not.
I believe ignorance can be found anywhere in this country. Rural, suburbs, or city. Conservatives, liberals, middle of the pack. Let's see some big city banker understand the hard work of a farmer. Let's see a farmer understand the complexity of managing their business without the help from a bank.

No, it just seems like that. Liberals, through their interactions with people from all walks of life have a more open mind to the needs and requirements of all of society and not just themselves. Conservatives represent a very defined area of society and they seek only to protect their own interests because that is all they are aware of.
It has nothing to do with intelligence and everything to do with the how the different social classes have manipulated the political system in order to protect their own interests ahead of the common good.

Actually close but not on it. Conservatives actually do have a liberal edge like enjoying freedoms and the too use the Constitution to enforce those freedoms.
People have a tendency to be loyal to their team, right or wrong. That's why right now hating the current administration is "the cool thing to do". But as we've seen people do change teams....it's what makes this country great.

I think this question could be rephrased "Are conservatives hard working, self supporting, backbone of America and Liberals are the weak minded who can't make a cup of coffee so they buy it at Starbucks for $5.00 a cup as they walk past a construction worker without giving him the time of day but tell the clerk at Starbuck's How wonderful it is that they send a dollar from each cup of coffee to Darfur?"

Perhaps for the most part, but I know some pretty educated people living in the city who are not "country", and are strongly conservatives. Also, I know of country folks who are about as liberal as can get.

Lol gee that question does not sound narrow minded at all....
please...
First you are confusing elitist for educated.
Second you are basically saying there are no cities that could be considered Conservative, I can think of a few off the top of my head.
third you are implying people from the country are un-educated.
I am educated (degree in hospitality management and years studying history and Archeology) and raised in a city and I am Conservative as is my family (many of whom have at least a bachelors degree, my mom had a masters in accounting) and the majority of my friends (degrees in history, accounting, psychology etc.).
And I have family that you could classify as country folk, they are narrow minded and what you would consider Liberal.
The answer to your question is NO. that is a stereotype.
The people who spread that type of propaganda want liberals to feel superior, guess what? they are not, they are as equal as we poor uneducated Conservatives.
Now excuse me I have to go manage my multimillion dollar hotel.

Overgeneralized. I live in a suburb that always elects Repubs but the ratio is adtually about 45 Dem to 55 Repub; unless you break down vote totals, the simplified figures lie.

Not always, that is a huge generalization. There are plenty of liberal minded country folk out there with a social conscious. Just as there are many closed minded city folks who don't posses any interests outside of their own personal gain.
