Yes. I was with a guy for a year and we got engaged. We never fought it was always perfect between us and then we got married and as soon as we moved in together he changed. He put me down all the time. and finally he punched me in the back of the head almost knocking me out and I left him. I got an annulment because we had only been married two months. It was crazy he seem so perfect. But he snapped and became a monster.

Yes, my marriage was like that after a few years. At first everything was fine but over the years he became a controlling beast. He would control what I wore, how I wore my hair and all kinds of other things. I'm divorced now and couldn't be happier!

yes, usually is a person suffering from bipolar personality and be aware, he is a batterer in waiting.
If you are living with one, I URGE you to leave him and keep safe. Do not announce your departure, just leave.
this type of man (person) has no remedy, usually the psychological or mental illness is one with many layers of abuse, neglect, personality disorder such as feelings of grandiose, lack esteem, and it may be a bad earner, bad provider for his family...never holds an steady job.
A person that snaps and changes in a matter of seconds has a whole profile of quirks and clues of a mental unstable person. If you love him, you might think your love can change him....
Trust me on this OK? NOT EVEN A PSYCHOLOGIST, MENTAL INSTITUTION OR JAIL EVER CHANGE A BIPOLAR PERSON WITH VIOLENT TENDENCIES.
Please go to your nearest woman's shelter and ask for guidance, counseling and resources to help you leave this ill- fated relationship.
God be with you!

He started to be more aggressive with me and the kids that was a big clue in changing my mind. So I took out the trash I told him to leave and I filed for a divorce best move I ever made.

The electro shock therapy might of had something to do with it.
seriously, sometimes people just go off,and it can be the first time that you have noticed, you will have to ask them if this is normal behaviour for them. If it is, then you need to make up your mind, if you can handle it or not, and then take actions accordingly.

Yes. My husband quit drinking and things were fine for awhile. He started back again and admitted he also was doing cocaine. The cocaine use has stopped thank God. Th e drinking has not stopped.
