I think its one of two:
either your hard disk is in his last days,
or there is sth wrong with your fan.
check with a technican.

you're probable right. it's probably the fan. if you're not affraid of opening your computer (and you shouldn't be), turn it off and cut the electricity, use some metal (like a screwdriver) to release the static electricity (if you don'y you might feel a slight electrical shock when you touch the inner metal casing of the computer, don't worry it's not dangerous or painful, just a bit surprising), check to see if some cable is close to any of the fans (there should be at least two. one for the processor inside, and one for the casing on one of the walls of the casing), also check if they are dirty. if they are just clean them gently or move the bable and try to make it stay away (don't worry, you won't break anything.

Have you blown it out with a can of air? I had a similar probably a year ago. Blew that sucker out, it's been fine every since.

Sounds like the bearings in a fan are going. You can open the case, power on the machine and see which fan is binding. Fans are cheap and easy to replace no need to pay anyone to replace it.

I think that is your fan cooling your computer when it gets hot. It happens on my laptop too.
