I was going to say FDR, but he had a mistress, then I was going to say Eisenhower, but he had one too, as did JFK, Johnson had the job down, but again he drank and had his women too.Nixon of course was another kettle of fish and if he had played around on Pat the country would have been better off. Ford was decent but uninspiring, Carter straight as an arrow, but fumbled in the leadership department, Bush One left little impression, Clinton was a truly great leader, could have done amazing things for the US, and what he did for welfare and the debt was truly awesome, he knew how to work with Congress and get things done. But he had a fatal flaw, like most of the powerful men listed, he like women.
Bush is a disaster on the order of Katrina. On every level.
I think actually Edwards is the best candidate now, hes got integrity, one wife, worked his way up, no sugar daddy or silver spoons. Hillary would be spectacular, shes a policy wonk of the first order, if we wanted to really do in this country what we need to do we'd elect her, but she isn't cute, warm and cuddly, and if she were we'd hear that dissed too. Shes like a dose of bitter medicine and we won't hold our nose and do whats best for us.

We confuse running a country with running for priest, or demigod. Our elections are more like American Idol with Sanjaya.

Whoops.....I read your question wrong. I thought you said who was truly prison material...and of course the answer is Hillary after stealing the white house china....plus who knows what else. Isn't it funny how the mainstream press doesn't jump all over that one. Laura Bush hadn't better take a paper clip as Katie Couric would turn her Journalistic talents against her. Well, time to go interview some more war victims, illegal aliens, or abused Muslims.

Pat Buchanan would have been a great President if he won in 1992 or 1996.
