I believe anyone with a disability should be given a ' fair go' as you Aussies call it. From what I understand those with this particular type of Autism are fairly high functioning.

It's really most people 's beliefs of myths and prejudices about those with disability that keep people with disabilities as second class or even third class citizens.

It depends on what you would say normal is. If you mean are we human and feel emotions, and pain, then yes. Do we deserve to be treated fairly? yes. But no, we are not normal like everyone else. We are different in some aspects than neurotypicals(people without a form of autism).
We see the world through very different eyes. We have different strengths and weaknesses. Social interaction is our biggest weakness. Honesty, loyalty, treating everyone the same, wanting everything to be equal and fair, and other things are strengths.
It's not fair that just because we have different strengths and weaknesses that Asperger's is a "disability". Read about neurotypical syndrome http://joyofautism.blogspot.com/2006_01_01_archive.html

I have it and I'm the same person inside as everybody else. Intelligent people understand that; I usually find the people who have problems with it are idiots in other areas of life and are horrible to lots of people not just me so I don't feel singled out.
Confidence is everything.

Yes, they seem as normal as you and me. They just have a hint of autistic behavior.
