Yeah but only difference is our body hair is unpigmented except for our armpits, genitals and heads (Including facial hair). Humans and other warm blooded animals have two types of hair follicles one is known as vellus which has less pigment and the other one is terminal which is fully pigmented. By the time a man is done with his puberty his body hair receives a little melanin but still not as much as our terminal hairs.

I have a cousin who is almost as hairy as a gorilla, she got it from her mother.

We absolutely do. We are actually the hairiest primate, they are too tiny to see. I just read it in a book about evolution, but I can't remember the name.
