By "private area" I assume you mean some combination of your cock, balls, ***, and general pubic area.

The best way to shave this area is to have someone do it for you. Also, don't shave off all the pubic hair above your cock or you'll get this weird, "little boy" look that's unattractive.

So let's assume you're shaving your own private area. Here's how you do it.

If the hair you're going to shave has never been cut before, and is longer than 1/2 inch or so, you need to first trim it down to 1/2 inch or shorter with scissors before using a razor.

Get in the bathtub & shower all over your pubic area where you're about to shave. Get it nice and wet. Then, you want to apply SHAVING OIL to the entire area you're about to shave. Most guys don't know about shaving oil, but it's the most important thing to use to avoid getting nicks and scrapes. You can find shaving oil in the same area as the shaving cream. After you have the shaving oil all over the area, apply shaving cream on top of the oil. With the slippery oil all over your manhood you may be tempted into some self-pleasuring here, but that's just a side benefit of shaving oil. Don't let things dry out, though.

So you've got the shaving oil & cream on your private area. Get a multi-blade, vibrating-head razor, like the Mach 3. Then it's just a fairly straightforward shave, except there's a bit more moving things out of the way. Because of the oil, you can go over the same area 5 or 6 times, in different directions, to make sure you get all the hair.

If your private area includes your nuts, you'll have to pull them taut to shave them clean, but you'll get the 'hang' of it quickly. Also, the closer you get towards your butt, the more you'll be going by feel, but you'll find it's remarkably easy. As long as you got the oil over there, you can shave right up to and including the area of the butt most of us prefer not to speak of. You can shave your cheeks smooth if you want.

This whole thing is really a lot easier, and more enjoyable, than it sounds. Always make sure you start with a new razor blade & throw it away when you're done. You'll probably need to shave this area about every 3 days, depending on how fast that hair grows. But you'll get to the point where it'll only take a few minutes to do, and it will look much nicer, and shaved private areas seem a lot more sensitive than unshaved ones. Enjoy!
