This comes from a document published in September of 2000. Exactly 1 year before 9/11. It was a who's who of Military strategist called Rebuilding America's Defenses. It examined the effects of The U.S.'s current situation of being the last remaining Superpower and the effects of a Unipolar world. The problem with this is the lack of a perceived enemy, like during the cold war, and what that would do to military funding. The line that is referenced goes like this "Further, the process of transformation,
even if it brings revolutionary change, is
likely to be a long one, absent some
catastrophic and catalyzing event – like a
new Pearl Harbor."
you can also blame it on our country's past. We don't have great track record in this area.
In 1846 - The Mexican American War - This was the time of Manifest destiny (God ordained this as "White Mans Land" from coast to coast. Settlers were offered land and citizenship in Tejas, Mexican territory. They accepted but had an uprising where the Mexican Army was sent in. James K. Polk said "American blood has been shed on American Soil" and proceeded to send the US Army into Mexico. (They were Mexican citizens in Mexican Territory) And that is how we got Arizona, new Mexico, Texas and California.
1n 1898 - The Spanish American War _Teddy Roosevelt and the Rough Riders. They used the guise of the Battleship Main blowing up in Havana harbor. They incited the country by blaming it on the Spanish "Remember the Main!" was the war cry. So we went into Cuba and seized the sugar fields for US companies and also got the Philippines, Guam etc from it. It was later retracted and listed as a coal bunker explosion. We installed a corrupt puppet government which resulted in Castro Coming to power and proclaiming "this time we will be invited to the Revolution!" This documetn built on Dick Cheney's years as Secretary of Defense.
Then in 1941 we delayed the acceptance of the declaration of war from japan which infuriated the US public and got us into WWII. Then we have 9/11..and so on. So although I am not a full fledged conspiracy theorist I do see the pattern

I have always felt that Bush had something to do with 9/11and still do till this day. I have always had a bad feeling about him. Was it just a coincidence that he was only in office for what, 6 months before 9/11 happened? And why was it his first priority to get Osama's family out of the country? That should have never been priority at all. And why did he say that the reason why they are going to war was that they had weapons of mass destruction, and later was proved that they lied about that.?
I believe he had alot to do with that horrible day.

Why in the world would Bush allow this to happen? He ended up with egg on his face that terrorists could complete such a large scale attack on the US you know a super power with unlimited technology at our disposal? And with all the people out there just waiting for his administration to make a mistake how do you think it would have been possible for this to happen without someone having some kind of proof?

George Bush knew that the Two tower will hit on 9/11 but he never said nothing about it, what I fear that American Government is getting more like Nazis, they won't care of their own people! Is it for Fuel to get rich by getting Iraqs fuel!! and blame on them!!

Read a book called "The War on Freedom". And check your Chemistry and Physics Handbook - jet fuel won't melt steel. jet fuel burns about 800 degrees, steel melts about 1750 degrees.

Every war/military conflict has its 'conspirancy' therorists.
Bush-head didn't allow 9-11 happen, but His-Royal-Dumbness-President took full advantage of what happened.
Bush is enough to make good Republicans into Democrats.

considering clinton had eight years of ignoring it and bush had six months...just precisely what could he have done. read the 911 report. six separate chances to capture or kill bin laden in sudan ignored. if clinton had kept it zipped up, we wouldnt be in this mess now.
