Spring is here...new life, the cycle continues. Plants are awakening from their winter sleep, animals are procreating, the sun is shining and I can put away the sweat pants and break out the shorts.

Chocolate bunnies, and easter eggs are everywhere. Kids hunting eggs and enjoying the seasonal candy (okay...I enjoy it too).

A nice way to welcome spring and celebrate the turn of the wheel...time to be planting what will be harvested in the fall (be those plant seeds or seeds of things to occur in our lives).

...and Monday all the Easter candy will be on sale! ☺

Annoying children expecting to get some gifts. Aisles of tacky easter egg baskets and toy bunnys in the stores and endless Easter "sales."

Easter means a promise of rebirth, eternal life, renewed faith. It is a reminder that Jesus died for us our sins and that even a sinner can make it into heave if you believe and ask forgiveness! Happy Easter and God Bless!!!

The shops were closed on Friday, so I had to go out on Saturday, and wade through the crowds of people who had gone to the shops because they were having withdrawals.
Easter means inconvenience.
And it's a bit silly to hold a spring festival at the onset of autumn.
If only Christianity was a truly flexible religion, we in the Southern Hemisphere wouldn't have to adopt such silly customs.
On the other hand, inflexibility will only hasten it's demise, and I wont have to put up with the inconvenience, so I suppose it's a small price to pay.
Before too long, with any luck, such nonsense as this weekend will be a thing of the past and life will be able to go on as normal for the 99.7% of us who don't 'believe'.

Well, you Did ask what it means...
