Every time I have watched him play I was impressed with his talent. It is very hard to be a great QB when you get sacked over 50 times a season. This does not count knock downs, hurries, and running for your life. He completed over 68% of his passes last year with just an average running game and as far as I know average receivers.
He will give Jake a run for that starting job in Carolina and if he does play I think he will do very well. Because he will have two stand out receivers to throw to and a good running game to back him.
I think the worst thing about being a great college QB is you get drafted by the worst team in the NFL and get thrown into a starting position where you are suppose to work miracles. Then if the team does not succeed it is your fault. Houston made a big mistake in their QB position this year. They should have built up the offensive line and given Carr a better chance.

Getting out of Houston was the best thing he could have done. He has earned over 35mil in the past 5yrs there too! Now off to bigger and better things- Soon he might be replacing Delhomme, cry baby, and over-rated. Delhomme will be the starter but I believe with the Panthers will go after a TE (Olsen) and if Delhomme doesn't produce in the first 6games, Carr will be taking over.
He signed a 2yr contract, so sit and wait- Hopefully he wouldn't lose his confidence and also learn from Jon Fox and his staff- atleast he won't be getting sacked as much

Yes, it is unfortunate that Carr was more on his back than getting the ball to a receiver in Houston but now we might find out how well he does since Carolina is going to give him another chance.

I think that he's a decent not great quarterback. It depends on where he ends up. If he ends up in the right situation with the right team and the right players and an offensive line that can protect him then maybe he can be a really good quarterback. Now that he's withy the Carolina Panthers I think that he'll do just fine for himself.

I agree. He was in a bad situation in Houston. They never fixed the offensive line to give Carr a chance. If he gets to play in Carolina, I think he'll excell.

Good player. He'll be great in Carolina. The only reason why he sucked in Houston is that he had no offensive line to work with. Look at how many times he was sacked.

I am surprised he's alive. He has taking quite a beating over the years. No quarterback could thrive in that situation. NONE. I think he has proven how tough he is. Now with the panthers hopefully he'll get a chance to prove that he is a good quarterback too.

well i think that he's a good qb but has the worst offensive line in the league. not to mention the dumbest coaches ever. who picks mario williams over reggie bush. thats jus plain retarted. he has competition with matt schaub at houston. Matt has probaly gotten tired of being Michael Vick's backup and now he's ready for a starting position

He's going to do very well in Carolina , might even beat out Jake Delome for the starting job.
