He’s fully programmed in multiple techniques, including poetry: Ode to Spot Felis Cattus, is your taxonomic nomenclature, an endothermic quadruped carnivorous by nature? Your visual, olfactory and auditory senses contribute to your hunting skills, and natural defenses. I find myself intrigued by your subvocal oscillations, a singular development of cat communications that obviates your basic hedonistic predilection for a rhythmic stroking of your fur, to demonstrate affection.

Salvador Dali rated great painter in history. Jan Vermeer van Delft was best; Diego Velasquez was second; and Raphael Urbino was third. He said he was the best painter of the 20th Century but was far below the great Baroque and Renaissance masters.

All the artists mentioned thus far are wonderful. But, I didn't see Picasso listed as a possibility. Perhaps I missed it.
Rembrandt is the logical choice for greatest artist because of his great versatility in terms of technique. Franz Hals is a close second. What a portraitist he was. An absolute master of character expression and brushwork.

I doubt that I could be the judge of that...
There are many who I think could easily claim this title; and probably all would be the best in someones opinion...
