If you want to know what living in Britain is like, try getting everyone in your family to cram into a sauna. Then somebody farts, another person yells at another person, somebody hasn't washed, most of you are blobby, pasty and unfit, and somebody is drunk and violent and starts attacking the others ofr no reason. The sauna is filthy with garbage everywhere and it hasn't been washed in years. That's Britain.

Being British is absolutely spiffing dah-ling. And in answer to your other questions;

Q - What do you think of Harry Potter?
I really, really love it. I've read all the books so far - can't wait for the 7th one, and I've seen all the films too.

Q - What are your favorite tv shows?
My favourite English shows are - Have I Got News For You, The Apprentice (UK - with Alan Sugar), Strictly Come Dancing, Planet Earth, Bleak House and Only Fools and Horses. I do watch a fair bit of American TV too - mainly Scrubs, 24 and American Idol. There's a lot of American TV on our channels over here.

Q - Do you have favorite snacks?
Yes.

Q - What are they?
Pringles, Cadbury's chocolate (far superior to any other chocolate), Walker's crisps, Rowntree's jelly, and McVitie's digestives.

Q - Who are your favorite stand up comedians?
Jack Dee, Paul Merton and Dara O'Brien.

Q - Do you know any jokes about Americans?
Yes.

Q - Do tell! ^__^
Sorry but I can't - somebody might report me for being prejudiced.

Q - Do you have racecar sport over in the UK?
Yes of course! It's called Formula 1 and it's Europe-wide.

Q - What is Bubble and Squeak?
Bubble and squeak (sometimes just called bubble) is a traditional English dish made with the shallow-fried leftover vegetables from a roast dinner. The chief ingredients are potato and cabbage, but carrots, peas, brussels sprouts, and other vegetables can be added.

Q - Do you like Snapple?
No.

Q - What do they serve at your McDonalds? (It's different everywhere apparently!)
The main things are the same but they have a lot more vegetarian options than one can find at an American McDonalds (I've been to America 4 times, so I know this to be true). Also a lot more salads, and of course the portions are smaller.

Q - How can you tell when a fellow british person is gay or not?
What a random question! I don't have an answer for that one I'm afraid.

:)

Q: What do you think of Harry Potter?
A: Can't stand it. It's a blatant rip off of many superior stories(The Worst Witch springs to mind), and JK Rowling has NO idea what boarding schools are like. To be honest, I was shocked to discover that she isn't American.

Q:What are your favorite tv shows?
A: Dr. Who, Torchwood, Life on Mars(of which I missed the finale grr but it's repeated tomorrow yay), CSI, NCIS, Law & Order(except when they cast Australian actors to play Brits), Have I Got News for You, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Mock the Week. I often catch tv dramas too. Sex Traffic was brilliant, rendered CSI's attempt at the same issue very flat.

Q: Do you have favorite snacks?
A: Yep, in rotation.

Q:What are they?
A: Too much chocolate(Cadbury or Lindt, on occaision Hershey's Cookies 'n' Creme but never any of their range with cocoa powder it tastes like cheese), Kettle Chips, gummy multivitamins(I know I shouldn't) and right now, soy beans.

Q: Who are your favorite stand up comedians?
A: Billy Connelly, Jo Brand, Jimmy Carr, Lenny Henry

Q: Do you know any jokes about Americans?
A: Only the one about the paternity test.

Q:Do tell! ^__^
A: It's far too long, and I'm far too lazy so I'll just tell you the punchline - "No, you dumbass!" says George Bush "It's Gordon Brown!"

Q: Do you have racecar sport over in the UK?
A: Yes, otherwise there wouldn't be any point in having race cars, would there? They don't exist just for the Top Gear boys to play with.

Q: What is Bubble and Squeak?
A: Sausages baked in batter. Or is that Toad in the Hole?

Q:Do you like Snapple?
A: I love it, I only wish we got the full range - the kiwifruit and strawberry one is gorgeous. I also like the glass bottles - unlike Oasis(who were Snapple's main competition until they sold out and started using plastic) it means that they use real ingredients and don't pack the drinks full of revolting artificial sweetners.

Q:What do they serve at your McDonalds? (It's different everywhere apparently!)
A: Eh... I don't eat at McDonalds and more, but they did do a diddy Cadbury set of mini donut, mini brownie and mini flapjack for a while which I bet they didn't do in the states.

Q: How can you tell when a fellow british person is gay or not?
A: Depends on whether they make an issue of it or not. They'll tell you if they do, or be flamboyantly flirty with anything of the same gender. Otherwise they may just seem asexual.

Harry Potter: The books are fine if a little overly hyped. However the films are generally not brilliant, mostly due to the terrible acting from all the non-adult (can't really call them children now) actors - except Radcliffe who is mediocre.

Favourite TV: I don't watch a lot of TV, but quite a lot of the stuff I like you'd recognise! Scrubs, Friends, Futurama, and some British stuff like The Green Wing, Black Books, Peep Show, Monkey Dust, The Mighty Boosh (all surreal comedy) Horizon, Panorama (which show regular documentaries)

Stand-ups: Dylan Moran, Bill Bailey, Eddie Izzard, Billy Connolly and Ross Noble - all of which again use surreal humour.

British racing has a long history. We have formula 1 (fast cars on a track which in the words of Jeremy Clarkson "Unlike American racetracks has both left AND right bends"), rally (well-built cars on a large off road track they have to navigate), motorcyle racing (similar to formula 1), as well as taking part in Le Man 24 hours. We certainly don't have NASCAR though - it is ridiculed for being SO boring!

Bubble and Squeak is shallow friend leftover vegetables from a roast dinner, mostly potato and cabbage. Essentially it's pretty horrible and I know of nobody who likes it, or has even tried it.

What's snapple? (I'm guessing as it's before and after a food question that it's some american food. Quite a lot of US food is banned in Europe for having too many additives!)

I hate macdonalds. I know people who worked there, and I know how they make their stuff. The milkshake story was what made me decide never to go in there again.

You can easily tell if a British person is gay by using the following words "Are you gay?" and listening to the response.

By the way, if you like chocolate then come to Europe (Belgium is especially famous for it). You will never eat any of that absolute rubbish Americans call chocolate (especially Hershey's, bleugh) ever again.

Well to start with no i don't like harry potter. At the moment my favorite shows are doctor who, lost and arrested development. For snacks i like to eat crisps (Potato chips) we have many many varieties of flavors. Or a chocolate bar, cadburys of course, American chocolate is vile. Because its Easter time a cadbury's cream egg is the only chocolate to be seen eating (very tasty). Comedian that i like at the moment is Bill Bailey. I'm sure i know some American jokes but none that i can think of. Erm i don't even know what snapple is. A gay British person, well they will either tell you or you can ask them or its just obvious by their appearance or behavior.
If you want you can email me with any questions about British life, i love talking about differences in life styles.
