My vocal chords are not that of a disciplined singer, thus I too favor a bit of the bubbly before embarrassing myself, and as for me, my humorous side often gets the best of me so I perform ridiculous songs such as, "Banomanom" as I call it, and "Oh Yeah!" as I call it, and, "Mama Coco" and on a good night my performance is rewarding sometimes, thus on occasion I receive lengthy applause, laughs, and a few free drinks:) of course my Lil Sweety moves off to the back corner of the bar and pretends that she doesn't know me:) LOL

I've only gone to a karaoke place twice but last time, my daughters talked me into doing, "Locomotive Breath"-Jethro Tull.
I actually, to my surprise, got alot of compliments!

'Ironic' or more recently 'Sweet Home Alabama'-I used to go to karaoke nights cos my best mate runs the best one in our area but stopped when I developed a weird little fan club who started following me & booing people who sang songs I liked to sing!!

as a non drinker, karaoke just seems wrong to me on so many levels, and your two songs are the only ones i ever hear people sing, apart from "blue velvet" maybes. Man the japanese have a lot to answer for on this one

My friends and I did Black Water by the Doobies. We had so much fun doing it since its a pretty fast paced song.

I hate to sound boring but I have never done karaoke.....i hate it when people sing in public that sound really bad.........
I keep my singing for in the shower or driving in the car..........until the person in the car next to you at the traffic lights catches you in full swing..........
