No, I'm sorry I don't know. I'm sorry for your loss too. I'll be visiting my dad's grave in a couple of days too, only in my mind though cos its 3,500 kms away .............. No matter, they'll always be with us in our hearts.........:0)

At the cemetary my Grandparents are at....you are not allowed to leave any type of vases or teddy bears or nothing like that....if you bring flowers....you have to lay them on the grave...that way when the flowers die, they will eventually be turned to mulch...or fertilizer or whatever happens....they get run over by the lawn mower...

At the cemetary where my Uncle is....you can bring things like bears & crosses....as long as it doesn't cover the headstone or is as tall as the headstone...they will remove the really nasty looking items...like damaged by rain & sun.....but other then that...they leave it alone...

A friend of mine is buried in yet ANOTHER cemetary, where you can't even bring flowers...or anything like that.....

So, I guess what I am saying is...it all depends on what cemetary they are in...it is up to the person who runs the cemetary on what can be done on the grounds....

I am sorry for your loss..

Around here, they are just left for the family to dispose of. I passed a cemetary yesterday that had brown pine wreaths from Christmas.

i dont know what they do with them, but i think its so sad that you cant leave things for a loved one, there was a cemetary on the news for prem babies and they were not allowed to leave teddies and things. you cannot reason with rules as ludicrous as that. So sad

Uk here. Anything you put on the grave is respected and left there. We often put things on our father's grave.

Not to bum you out but most cemeteries I have seen just through the stuff out. If it can be composted most have a compost pile otherwise into the dumpster with it.
