yeah rock your right... all we need is some 'physical' conversations without violence but mine would have sounded like this..... ...
"wli ya bint el kalb ta3a la hon... wallah la ehsoof 3amrik" lol
and yes we are sisters and thanks for my name "fatty"

euh... Fatma dear consider your brother lucky. My mom wears original Scholl sha7ata, the one with wooden heels. Can't count the times it flew across rooms to hit me. It's still easier from when I was at an arm's length away from her... that hurts much more. Glad these days are over though! LOL. Now she's shy to do it since I'm in grad school, but it doesn't mean she stopped wishing. I don't know of a Lebanese kid who escaped the she7ata of his mom.

Hey Fatma....so now you are stealing two of Australia's national symbols !!
You cheeky sweet thing you.....
Firstly ,the boomerang ( Lebanese Boomerang ?) ...you steal the name from our Aboriginal people ....they will hunt you down girl !
Then , shame on you girl , our thongs ! Well, we didn't invent those ...simply made them more acceptable for modern trendys like your pretty self ....
I will forgive you for both of these indiscretions but expect my just reward ...wink , wink !

ya, they do that a lot here in Lebanon...lol
it never happened to me though cuz we don't wear them in my family we just wear socks around the house...weird I know
usually the reason for it is discipline or revenge
I like the name though: Lebanese Boomerang

No, I escaped that folklore while growing up, maybe that's why I'm bala marba.
Don't forget that the boomerang comes back to its sender, lol.
