AL Gore is a very smart and well educated man whose film about GLobal Climate change has been seen by many millions of people. It will be seen by an estimated 20 million school children this month as part of earth day activities.
This is just terrific because it is scientifically accurate, thoughtful and engaging. In the future it will be shown again and again until everyone is made alert to the conclusions supported by the vast majority of competent scientists -- global climate change is happening, and humans are responsible.
The authority that Al Gore has is the authority of science, speaking through him to educate the people. he has done a great job.

Does Al Gore have the three letters PhD behind his name? What about the two letters MS? What about the other two letters BS? Maybe the two letters AS? If Al Gore doesn't have a Science Degree in a reputable science then he shouldn't be talking about Global Warming. Let the experts, that is, people who have Doctorates in the fields concerning Global Warming, speak of Global Warming. Since Al Gore is a politician any statement he makes is political.

Al Gore shouldn't have the authority to change his socks. He is just another Chicken Little "The sky is falling".
