I'm surprised that there are people here who know the exact purpose of a Patriot missile. I used that type of missile because I know its name is more recognized than most missiles.

I like the idea!

However I believe the Patriot is a ground-to-air defense missile.

I would like to see the LGM-118A Peacekeeper missiles raining down on Iran.

Can you say b*tch slap, Iranian style? I'm actually quite surprised that MSNBC covered this story, as the liberal media is in the tank for Obama and has been quite selective lately in the stories they choose to report. Nevertheless, I am hopeful that at some point Barry will finally begin to understand that diplomatic relations are NOT the solution in dealing with these lunatics. It is clear that Ahmadinejad cares about nothing more than furthering his anti-American agenda and will perceive our willingness to engage in talks as exactly what it is... a major sign of weakness. Obama's next step should be to drop dialogue with these jackas*es and begin to build alliances with other sane and like-minded countries followed by an agreed upon plan of action against Iran. If the pansy-as*es in this country who put Barry in office don't feel that the invasion of Iraq was justified, at least Obama can pander to this demographic by seeking consensus from other countries before taking action.

First off, the Patriot missile is an air defense missile. Next, only if you wish to start WW 3 which could very possibly happen if such action was taken. You want global war, millions dead, rationing of oil and other materials in the US, destruction of world economies, upheaval of world governments? You must be a fascist, I mean republican.

I understand what you're saying, but I think you mean Tomahawk missiles, not Patriot. Patriot missiles are surface-to-air missiles used against incoming aircraft or surface-to-surface missiles.

I do agree that we need to destroy Iran's capability of producing a nuclear weapon before we have to deal with a real possibility of a nuclear strike either here, or in Israel. A strike to either place would cause a nuclear counter-strike and we would have a real mess, and that is truly an understatement.

Only problem is that the Patriot is an air defense/anti-missile system. Now if you would perhaps wish to give them the gift of thousands of Tomahawk cruise missiles raining down on their entire military, then I agree.

Why ? What did they do while I was asleep? Did they bomb somebody? Or are they still just minding their own business?

I wonder why you American people LOVE the war this much!! Who do you think you are? You think you should attack whenever you have the desire to? That's foolish of you. Just think before you throw something from your mouth!
