does anybody know about tomtom sat navs?

i had a tomtom 700 and some little **** decided they liked it more than me and stole it out my lorry.. i got 1 yesterday off ebay its all good but i made a backup of my old one just before it was stolen.. can i over right the new one with my old backup thus making it the same as my old 1

That's what the back up is for, it will be ok unless it doesn't recocnise the Tomtom as being the one the backup was from. In which case contact Tomtom, they are very helpful.
