I went to sri-lanka fo a holiday for 2 months from the uk, and i didnt get any periods-on 1 occasion, i just got 1 drop but thats about it. I even packed a whole lot of pads because i heard that the pads over there aren't very good. Why did this happen?

Travel, very often effects the menstual cycle, so it's not abnormal to miss a period or come on early when on holiday, so this may well explain what happened to you, especially if they have returned to normal since coming home.
Other things can cause disruption to the menstrual cycle, eg being under or over weight, poly cystic ovaries, stress, and of course pregnancy.

Stress can stop your periods, but so can a number of factors, including your diet. If you don't eat properly, your body will use the energy that would normally be used for lining your womb to keep all the other systems of your body running, that's why anorexics don't get periods. I'm not saying you're starving yourself, but even a short time without a sufficient supply of iron-rich foods can cause a bout of anaemia. In all the preparation for your trip did you eat differently? Could be the answer you're looking for. Look after yourself.

Stress can also be a cause for missed periods too. Even if the reason for the stress is something good and exciting.
So yes, it's possible the stress of the trip could have delayed your period.
I would recommend double checking with your dr to be on the safe side.

You could've been stressed about something and not even know it. Body still changes despite age. My period never stays on schedule and usually when I'm stressed out it comes 3 weeks early and in the same month as my last. But just to be on the safe side I would check up with your gyn.

i'm not sure what's happening but something similar happened to me. I went to Thailand for about a month and had no period. Right after i get back from vacation, i started having brown discharge and period has been abnormal ever since. I've had pap smear and cervical ultrasound but nothing can be identified. Anyway, hope things would turn out fine sooner or later.

There are too many things that could have caused it, such as birth control, climate, diet, emotional changes. You don't tell us your age either or if you have been se... ually active. If I were you, I'd have a pregnancy test and a check up with the doctor.

you might be pregnant do a test which i think you most properly have , it could be your body reacting to a different climate if you are really concerned about this go and get a appointment at your GPs and talk to the nurse or doctor they will know more ,so it was just the different climate an you are only young so your body just getting started .x

You don't say if you're on any kind of birth control or whether you could be pregnant or not. if this is a possibility get a test to rule it out. if not go to your doctor, it could be something simple but its certainly worth getting it checked out.
good luck

Primary cause of missed periods is pregnancy; have you ruled that out?
