I do hope you stop to read this. I have a three-part response to what you have posted. Check esp. point #3.

1) Assuming all these details are accurate and significant (but see pt 3!), why would such a set of co-incidences suggest a U.S. government conspiracy??

For one thing, it is hard to conceive HOW the government could possibly orchestrate such things as these NUMBER co-incidences (which would be quite a different thing from being complicit in the attacks). And even if they could WHY would they do so? It has NOTHING to do with the attacks themselves.. AND, if the theory is correct, it would amount to deliberately placing all sorts evidence of their plot out in the open. Why in the world would a conspiracy --which is all about HIDING what they're doing or have done-- do such a bone-headed thing?!

2) Don't know exactly where you read these things --in fact, it's going around in a current email that combines several different emails spread beginning as early as two days after 9/11. But I urge you PLEASE to adopt the following procedure whenever you read an email or web story with such great claims: recognize that it may be a hoax and check it out, either by visiting some of the top 'urban legend' checking web sites (snopes. org is a good one, but there are several others), or just do a web search with some striking term/phrase from the story along with the expression "urban legend"... which should lead you to entries on the leading sites that weigh the claims and let you know whether it is clearly TRUE or FALSE or UNDETERMINED/MIXED.

3) In fact, if you look carefully at the items in your list, you will discover that

a) many of them are rather insignificant, and the sort of thing one could find for ANY story with MANY different numbers, if they set about to do so.

b) several, esp. the more 'striking' details, are either manipulated to get the results desired OR are simply factually WRONG!!

Some examples:

"Ramsin Yuseb (The terrorist who threatened to destroy the Twin Towers in 1993) has 11 letters"
** CONTRIVED - there are MANY different ways his name is transliterated from Arabic into English... the email conveniently chose one that "works" for its own purposes

"Flight 77 which also hit Twin Towers, was carrying 65 passengers"
** INCORRECT - there were 64 passengers.

"The total number of victims inside all the hi-jacked planes was 254. 2 + 5 + 4 = 11"
** INCORRECT - the total, excluding the hijackers was 246 (adding the hijackers makes 265, so that still won't work!)

"The Madrid bombing took place on 3/11/2004. 3 + 1 + 1 + 2 + 4 = 11"
** CONTRIVED... why do you choose to add ONLY the month and day digits for 9/11, but ALL the digits for the March 11 attacks? (Note there are THREE or MORE easy options for any date -- 3/11 -> 5 (OR 3+11=14), 3/11/04 = 9 (OR 18). You might prove ANYTHING this way!)

"The following verse is taken from the Quran, the Islamic holy book:
"For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. .. "
"That verse is number 9.11 of the Quran"
** NOT SO - there is NO SUCH VERSE in the Quran!
And if you were to list the reference this way, the verse would be:
"But if they [idolaters] repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then are they your brethren in religion. We detail Our revelations for a people who have knowledge. "

** NOT SO. Actually it was 912 days (the email author apparently forgot to include leap day [February 29] 2004)

"Q33 NY . This is the flight number of the first plane to hit one of the Twin Towers"
** NO. This was NOT the # of ANY of the flights!

(Incidentally the "towers" symbol produced in Wingdings by this method is actually a printed PAGE, not a building. Just type "1234" in Windings font and this will be obvious.)

(Sadly many conspiracy theorists don't even try to interact with its explanations and corrections. As a Newsweek article last year noted, they've even gone as far as trying to simply dismiss the book because the last name of ONE of the EIGHT contributors to the original Popular Mechanics article is the same as that of a former member of the Bush administration... though it even turns out that the two men are unrelated!)

ADDED - Sorry that folks like DazMaz have clearly not even looked at the book I mention (with its MANY expert sources)... or they would know, for example, that "pull" is NOT a demolition term (as demolition experts tell us) but a firefighter's term for pulling their crews out of a dangerously unstable structure... and that the seismographic readings are evidence AGAINST a demolition (e.g., 2.1 and 2.3 are almost nothing!!)

OK, now let's go to the question, did the USA collapse it's own towers that day ?

Well, according to oner self-proclaimed debunker Building No. 7 was demolished intentionally. Actually I have been out of the forums for years, I didn't know that this was now admitted, and I am very glad to hear it. Silverstein blabbered in aninterview that they had decided to 'pull' Building 7. It's true they did, and they had to deal with it eventually, because their original story that it collapsed due to fire damage just was too ludicrous to stand. Of course it was 'pulled'. Now, what does 'pull' mean ?

It means that the buildings were rigged with explosives long beforehand, and if no. 7 was rigged, clearly all the others, but especially the Twin Towers would have been.

The Popular Mechanics article was a sad 'fix' and not to be given any weight whatsoever. The 'exoskeleton' quoted by one 'expert' here is a complete revelation of the extent of ignorance that is being brought to bear. Those towers had an internal beam structure of specially made ( in Japan ) steel, that went from the sub-basement levels where they were grouted some 70 feet into the bed-rock, to the top levels of the towers. These columns were progressively larger towards the bottom to take account of the increasing weight of the twoers themselves. The only exoskeleton was the outer framework which was designed to resist twisting, torsional loads created by high winds, for instance in the case of a hurricane striking New York.

There were two seismic 'events' recorded in upstate New York, each a few milliseconds before a tower collapsed, 2.1 and 2.3 richter, respectively.

Now, as Silverstein, and even a debunker here, admitted collapsing no. 7, what is the likelyhood that they didn't 'pull' the towers ? The buildings fell in free-fall speed, physically impossible if they had pan-caked as per the official story, and they fell perfectly within their own 'footprint'.

The world's finest ever demolition job.

There is no question about that, the only question is why ?

Which brings us back to the original asked question.

I believe the NY Towers were federally or internationally owned. What do you mean by whites own this country? Well, I guess you're right, and it's turned out nicely so far hasn't it, you're still alive and not in slavery, unless the south is really THAT bad. In that case, cross the river and come up north.

A colleague came up with this idea, probably 9/12 or possibly 9/13. I rejected it. Puppies don't do their poo in their own kennel. Now I'm not so sure.

What I do remember is that when I heard about 9/11 on 9/11, my first reaction was, 'Let's hope the USA fights this war on it's own and doesn't involve other countries.'

Possibly the most stupid thing ever said since Chamberlain declared 'Peace in our time' and before Bush proclaimed victory in Iraq in 2003.

The two main towers were not collapsed by the US. They collapsed because racist muslim terrorists intent on killing innocent non-muslim men, women and children hijacked four aircraft and crashed them into the main towers of the World Trade Center, indiscriminately killing thousands of people from many nations and injured many thousands more.

The two main towers eventually collapsed due to a number of reasons including structural damage cause by heat from the raging fires that resulted when the planes crashed. Contributing factors included incomplete fireproofing coverage of internal structural elements whichresulted in weakening of those elements beyond their structural limits.

Because the strength of WTC1 and WTC2 lay in their unique exoskeletens (the internal core structure was designed only to support the gravitational loads) both buildings collapsed in on themselves leading to a number of rather looney conspiracy theories.

Other buildings at the WTC site were collapsed intentionally because the damage caused by the terrorist initiated collapse of WTC1 and 2 was so sever that the buildings were dangerous and beyond repair.

As for ECNK's post, many of the points are urban legends and are discussed at Snopes. One in particular, the claim that Q33NY was the flight number of the first plane to hit one of the Twin Towers, is of particular interest to me since I debunked it and provided the proof to Barbara Mikkelson at Snopes.

Shortly after the attacks a rumour appeared stating that Q33NY was the "number" of the aircraft. It did not specify whether the number was the flight number or registration number of the aircraft. I conducted a search and found no such flight number existed. Similarly there was no plane anywhere in the world registered as Q33NY. American registrations start with "N". In fact no country registers aircraft with Q as the first letter.

There never was a flight Q-33. The two planes that hit the WTC were American Airlines Flight 11 and United Airlines Flight 175. So the first answer is just as screwball as the original question. They deserve each other.

Not clever. The exploding plane fuel caused shockwaves to go down the buildings weakening the structure enough for them to collapse.
Now look at Bush and his men saying "ok fellows, what would be the best way to start a war with Iraq?" I know, lets fly two plane into the twin towers!

It has clearly been proven that the 9/11 event was plan and carried out by the terrorists. They have even admitted to doing it.

What is truly sad are the individuals who believe this tripe that the U.S. government caused it to happen. If they cannot believe actual facts there is little that these individuals will ever have the intelligence to do their civic responsibility and vote. Instead they listen to such individuals as Micheal Moore and Rosie O'Donald. Moore spouts this tripe to make money and O'Donald does it because she is mentally unstable.

I you're speaking of the twin towers, I find it hard to believe that any government would have a hand in such an act. OTOH, it would be interesting to know why Bush & company didn't cooperate with the 9/11 comission.
