just the play in general of the mariners and the pitching on opening day of felix hernandez. this guy is something special. he has control, throws 4-5 pitches equally well, has an almost unhitable fast ball (98mph) and can field with the best pitchers in the league, and his mechanics are vastly improved over last year. also has shown that he has great presense and has a great view of the field so he knows what is going on all the time. very good possibility that he can win 20+ depending on the offensive production of the team and the defense behind him. the mariners will be the surprise team of the season and will make the playoffs and win their division.

Poor Yankee defense. It's cost them two games. Yankees pitching has not been impressive at all. Thought they would do a little better.
Phillies bullpen went south on them. Two blown saves! Ouch!
Reds and Pirates off to an excellent start. Big surprise!
And after three games the Tigers are looking up at the rest of the division.

I'd have to say the Pirates since they haven't swept the Astros in Houston since 1991. It was nice to see them win three close games for a change since they seemed to lose so many one run games last year. Everyone said Solomon Torres wouldn't be a good closer either and then he has 3 saves in the first 3 games. Go Bucs!

not sure what your biggest surprise is but I got one today.
Someone knocked at my door I answered it to find a lady standing there with a flowers arrangement in the shape of a dragonfly. I just love dragonflies and my hubby had had it done for my b'day. Gotta love him.
