Although scientists continue to debate this issue, most people who work with their dreams, either by themselves or with others, find that their dreams are very meaningful for them. Dreams are useful in learning more about the dreamer's feelings, thoughts, behavior, motives, and values. Many find that dreams can help them solve problems. Further, artists, writers, and scientists often get creative ideas from dreams.

Anyone with a little imagination can make up an interpretation of a dream, but their answer, no matter how interesting, is VERY unlikely to be true.
Because:
The purpose of dreams, as far as we understand them, is to process the vast amount of information that comes in through your senses each day whilst you're awake.
On this basis the "meaning" of your dreams is simply that you are making sense of information which previously didn't have a "meaning", for you, because it hadn't been processed so as to fit into your mental maps of the world (all your existing beliefs, ideas, values, etc.).
Given what seems to be going on, it's not really surprising that lots of things appear in your dreams that have nothing to do with what has been happening in your life just before the dream occurs. Things can appear in your dreams that have been part of your memories as far back as you started forming memories - or anytime in between then and now.
Nor do the things in your dreams have to be obviously related to each other. Like I said, dreaming is a process of finding/making meaning, and the brain can draw from anywhere in its huge store of memories in order to carry out that process.
By the way, there is nothing random about this process, but your subconscious mind can come up with connections that your conscious mind would never dream of (!), which is why dreams often seem pretty weird.
So when, if ever, you happen to notice yourself having what seems like a weird dream in future you can literally rest assured that everything is OK. Your brain is actually doing, with great skill, one of the jobs it was designed to do

Alot of it depends.
If I can trace the visual/emotional dialogue that the images sprang from (like last night, I dreamt of going on a vacation with my mom to Kentucky, which I realized (the next morning) had to do with my visiting the Greyhound website the night before, which is what I used to visit my ex, who was older than me and had many of the same emotional problems/quirks I associate with my mother) I can pass the dream off as psychological sort-and-dump.
However, if the dream pertains to specific situations (like a very vivid dream of flying or traveling to a certain place I know I have never heard about, especially in a language I don't know) or sensation, then I consider it a 'travel', which is a supernatural phenomenon where one's soul is considered to depart from one's body and is able to 'travel' to different dimensions, thus creating and relaying experiences that are more 'physical' than symbolic in nature.
So, I believe they can be composed of, or directed by, any number of different things (or even transition from one to another.)

Impressions and memories.
Dreams is a thought process that is linked with, and is essential to, memory. While dreaming, recents events and recent thoughts are reviewed and processed by the brain, to be organized. But since those are somewhat randomly accessed, the flow is weird; hence dreams make no sense in the fact that dissimilar concepts are seemingly associated with one another.
Since the concepts and thoughts reviewed during dream encompass not only the concious thoughts, but also the unconscious ones, it is believed by some that dream could hint at some unconscious preoccupations or desires.

Many dreams, are so strange and interesting that it feels like they must have some deep meaning or important messages. The experts have very different opinions about this.
Some believe that dreams aren't connected to our real emotions or thoughts. Other dream specialists think that what we see in our dreams has very specific meaning for our life. Dreams, they feel, are like a window into our deepest desires and biggest fears, and interpreting our dreams (trying to find the hidden meaning) can help us figure out what's really going on in our brains and our lives. In this theory, a dream is a direct message from your mind, telling you about problems that need to be solved, fears that need to be put to rest, or goals that need to be followed.
Many dream researchers have views that are somewhere in between these two opinions. Dreams, they say, are not always filled with meaning. Sometimes dreams are just your mind playing with thoughts and images from your life, or things you may have read or seen on TV. But other times, dreams are a special opportunity for you to make sense of your life, especially things that you want to achieve, or things that cause you trouble or stress.
Many dream experts agree that recurring dreams, dreams that you keep having over and over, probably have some sort of special meaning. Even if you consider most of your dreams to be strange stories that don't relate to your normal life, it could be that a dream that keeps reappearing is trying to tell you something. You might want to try remembering the details of a recurring dream and making sense of what it might be telling you.

yes they do. Try to interpret your dreams. Think of something that has a connection with your dreams, the person or thing that exist in your dreams are not really the things that will appear in reality they would just a symbolism.
In psychology, your suppressed feeling would come out. maybe these are your hidden desires, the suppressed feeling or even failures..I guess

I'm not sure if you know of a place called Aaron's rental center but one night.. I was sleeping and had a dream they were robbed. That Saturday they were. I guess that is more of a crazy psychic thing, I do believe in God:) but it did happen. I do believe dreams have meanings. You should buy a dream book, you would be amazed at what they tell you.

Both are happening. But there are four reasons to see dreams.
Some dream are telling the feature(you may have an experience). It's not frequently happening.that dream are exactly see the feature.
But some dreams are related to your state of mind. That means if you are in happy mood and going to sleep,at that point you will see the sweet dream.opposite site is if you are in angry or hate to somebody, then you will see bad dreams(most of accidents).
Other type of dreams are relate is your biological or chemical reactions of the body at that time.If it's not in balance you will see the dreams. That depend on whats your dinner.
Next is outside gods.Imagine your friend was die and he is in heaven. But he want to tell something to yo.He is telling that in
the dream.he visualize a dream to you.(you may not believe this, but it's true)

dreams are basically feelings. if youre always worried, you might have dreams about something like you being chased or something happening to something or someone that you love. its really strange. but like for instance, i am like scared to hit people. i have hardly ever physically hurt anyone in my life. its as if im just scared to actually hurt the person. and in my dreams, whenever i wanna hit someone, its as if my arm slows down or something. like im just about to make contact with the persons body when my hand or knee gets a heavy feeling and misses as if the person is standing too far away from me. i dont know, maybe everyone gets those kinda dreams. i doubt it. it really annoys me that i have those kinda of dreams so ive thought about it, and thats the only way i can explain it. lol. it seems very logical to me. i dont know if that helps but hopefully! lol

I dont think so. But ive heard of it being true since i was a kid. So its like absorbed into my brain. Whenever i get a positive dream, i start believing it might come true and start thinking it WILL happen. When its something bad, i dont believe it will happen tho.
