I'm just leaving an answer to make it easier to look in on this question later, as I too am interested in soul retreival. I have not had it done, but I find the ideas behind it very interesting, and would definitely like to know more about how to have it done, and how to find an experienced Shaman to do it, so I sure do hope that some knowledgeable people will show up and offer advise on it. While I think it would be more useful to have someone who knows what they are doing to go about it, I do think that as I have progressed on my spirit walk, I have had some pieces returned to me that left as a result of childhood traumas. Whether they were returned by Spirit, or if I was able to go out there and pick up a couple of them myself, I couldn't tell you. I don't have the training to do a thorough job of it for my self, but I do feel that a couple of pieces have been returned. I guess what I am trying to say, is that I think that you may be able to recover some on your own, but progress may be alot slower, if you don't have that sort of training...
but if you progress on your spiritual walk, some pieces may be returned as part of that.....

I have a friend who does them. He is fluent in many forms of magick and he thinks very highly of them.
It is true that it is hard to find a complete how-to on them. I can only recommend going into shaman-thick spiritual circles. It would be best if you had a solid trust in the person. When it is done, I do know two good facts. One, expectations will only limit the experience, go in totally oblivious to what you think might happen. Two, you can't be drunk, it's dangerous, don't ask me why.

Yes I had a healing done last Sunday Night it was amazing
I had some weird visions while I was in a meditative state and the Lady sang in high notes to vibrate through the Chakra's then I was on a stairway I had to climb all the way up through the clouds then just a violet glow of light then I was brought out of the Meditation.
It was to clear and to unblock the Soul of unwanted memories
Love & Blessings

Yes. My grandpa is a shaman and he performs it all the time. Whenever he performs the ritual, he always cover his eyes so that he can commune better with the soul/spirit. When he performs the ritual, he goes into a trance-like state. That's all I know.

I even have heard of this yet I even have on no account had it executed. i've got self belief that I heard it in reference to three Navaho tribal people. in line with probability you may desire to purpose contacting the Navaho Tribal people in New Mexico on thier reservation. THe interior sight individuals that stay in my area do not try this or this kind of healing know-how has been lost because of the cultural "retraining" that went on over the previous one hundred years. those catholic clergymen truly knew a thank you to tear a custom to shreds did not they?
