The reason I don't believe it in the "pollution way" is because we've had ice ages, why not this?...Whether we're causing it or not, I believe we are polluting way too much.

The question is really too complicated to simply answer Yes or No. There is evidence that the world's temperature is increasing; as you note, this is nothing new. There is conclusive evidence that the CO2 level is increasing, although it was four times as high during the dinosaur era as it is now. It is not established whether CO2 is the cause, or the result, of warming. There is one thing of which we can be absolutely certain: if we try to address the problem by controlling CO2 levels, it will be almost unbelievably expensive; the UN has proposed a program with a price tag of $557,000,000,000,000 -- far more than the total value of every asset on the planet.

I have spent a lot of time in this subject and yes I believe we are warming up, but... pollution is not the cause. Our scientist are aware that we are heading into the worst solar cycle ever experienced in this planet. They have also observed that this warming trend (along with the erratic weather and intense volcanic activity) is not limited to this planet. Everything in this solar system is heating up. So unless you want to believe that somehow our polluting earth is causing global warming on mars or saturn, this is just not a viable cause. While addressing the pollution issue is still something that needs to be looked at (we are still poisoning ourselves and all life here) it will not change or even effect the global warning problem.

I believe there's a video out called A Convenient Answer to An Inconvenient Truth in which the former leader of Green Peace even speaks out against the lies being told by Al Gore. They show how through history there have always been warming trends and cooling trends. Back in the 1970's in America they were teaching kids that we were headed into our next ice age. However, I do believe that we should be good stewards of our planet.

It's all about the money. Where is the money at?

I believe in global climate change...that it is a natural process. However much, or little, pollution contributes to it is irrelevant. I look at it as a separate issue...but still important. We were taught to clean up our rooms as kids and that is equally true for the planet we live on.

If you believe humankind is "polluting way too much" then the question is irrelevant. Can we slow/stop global warming? NO. Because we are human.

No. Earth is very big, pollution made by human beings is too small to make a big impact on the earth; how ever living places may look uncomfortable for small duration in a day.

YES....In my opinion, many things could cause the world to heat up too much. If you look at all the cities around the world that emit what's left of the fuels they use no wonder we are suffering not just the planet but our own health is suffering. Think of everything that releases gases. The list goes on and on. Each country, city, town, person should do their best to conserve what we have left to live on and clean up our air and waterways. If we don't none of us are going to be able to breath the air that remains.

I believe the earth is currently warming and humans are contributing a minor amount to it. Unfortunately the amounts of CO2 being release is increasing. It may be a serious problem one day if the increase continues.

Maybe. If it is caused by mankind, it seems to me that the main cause would have to be jet traffic. It is burning tons of fuel at higher altitudes where nature can not readily clear CO2, H2O, etc. The main reason it is probably not true is because the IGNORANT LIBERALS are positive that it is true.

there is truly something called global warming... i may take billions of years but everything will just heat up... remember the second law of thermodynamics.... heat is the only form of energy that can not be converted to other forms... so if all energy(chemical, sound, light, nuclear, etc.) will convert into heat... everything will just heat up without being converted to other forms... this is why there is a such thing as global warming... watch the UNCONVENIENT TRUTH to learn more... chow :)
