Iran wants Britain to extend a goodwill gesture for the release of those 15 sailors. I think a fruit basket would be nice.

I'd say Britain already extended a goodwill gesture to Iran. Britain refrained from declaring war. That is more goodwill than the Iranian administration has earned.

Diplomacy is the art of keeping a grin on your face while clenching a fist inside your pocket.
Those kids- sailors? Maybe sailors of the same age group should do an exchange visit.
Sure, why not.

I think Britain should hang those 15 soldiers for insubordination and really send a message to Iran.

That depends how far in debt they want to go, plus the size sponge Britain wants to become!

Britain did well by holding their cool. Now that the
sailors are back home and telling exactly what happened,
Iran is seen for exactly what they are....reasonless,
self-centered, pompous spoiled brats with a big
toy....yet whose own country is crumbling from within.

No. You can't make goodwill gestures to a gangster. He won't understand it. The Britons have nothing to loose, except honor. So, they should fight back.

They drilled these people every night, mentally exhausted them, told the woman her mates were sent home, chained them up, threatened them with seven years in prison unless they proclaimed publicly that they were in Iranian waters, and we are still not certain they were in Iranian waters. It only makes me wonder why Iran is creating this stir, this publicity, hmmm? Are they feeling stronger with nuclear arms? Are they poking around for engagement? Do they want to pull us into a war? What truly is going on in regards to this recent act?? Something is brewing! Send them a boot with a note telling them where to apply it.
