Yes, when I was 14. About 4 seconds before my uncle's Piper Cherokee slammed head-on into a 727 over Kankakee Illinois, on landing approach to O'Hare International airport, I looked forward and told him (he was reading a map). Both planes veered right. Missed each other by about 100 feet. That probably saved a few lives, plus my own. True story!

Absolutely. I was about 9 years old and I was swimming in my aunts pool. She left the deck for some reason and her 3 year old jumped into the pool. I came up and didn't see her at first but then saw blond hair floating in the water. I grabbed her and threw her onto the deck and got my aunt. My aunt bascially yelled at her and told her to stay outta the pool till she had time to come back up...5 minutes later there is a splash and the kid is in the pool again. Once more I drag her out and decided we were done swimming that day.

Yes. But I was scared. An ex's grandmother had diabetes and I called there to see if he was there. He wasn't but she asked if I could come there cuz she was having a problem. When I got there she was on the floor passed out. I checked to see if she was breathing and she wasn't. I checked for a pulse and there wasn't one. So I had to administer CPR. I had never done it, but only seen it done. I was quite young still. I managed to get her breathing again and she was very incoherent and had broken speech, but she did manage a few words. I called 911 and her husband. When the ambulance got there I was very relieved. They said I saved her life. I was just doing what I felt was natural. What happened was she went into diabetic shock. I will never forget it.

My brother did today. He was even on the news. Saved a drunk guy from getting hypothermia as he was floating down a creek and didnt have a clue how he got there. My brother the good samaritan - that is pretty funny.

Yes.
A lady at the grocery store who collapsed and stopped breathing.
And my own daughters- one hemorrhaged at home after a tonsillectomy and the other choked in the car.
Oh, and Todd choked on a carrot once, so I had to do a pretty hard Heimlich a couple of times on him.
I know you have too-- what's your favorite story?

Yes, I saved my sister from drowning...the neighbors didn't believe her when she told them that she couldn't swim..so when she slid down into the deep end from the shallow end they thought she was playing....I jumped in and got under neath her and pushed her to the edge of the pool........then everyone realized just what had happened.
See what one will do when one needs to? I don't even like that sister...but, I saved her anyway. lol

yes, as a matter of fact, i did! and the only way i knew it, and believed it, was because the DOCTOR was the one who told me, its a good thing you brought her in here tonight, or she would have been dead by 6:00am tomorrow morning! this was at about 11:00-11:30 that night, so she had less than 7 hours! as it turned out, they still had to amputate all the toes off her right foot, AND her left leg, just above her knee!
