Throughout history there have been many "the secret"s. This is nothing new except the hype. You can read Illusions by Richard Back or "Ask and it is given", or even "What the *bleep* do we know?" and realize the common sense in all of them.
To simplify it, I believe life is not unlike a manifestation of some puzzle and/or game. Consider each day, or each change, or each person you meet to be a piece of the puzzle. You can choose the path you take, and how you take it.Some have considered the weaving of a tapestry of Life. You can accept responsiblity ... or not. So many say they would love to do something, but they rarely think it through to what they would do if it actually happened. I feel humbled by life, and positively accept the puzzles God puts in the path I choose. I do not know if this is the answer you seek, but this is the answer I found in "The Secret" (book)

Yes, I have actually always used "The Secret", before it was "The Secret", and it works really well for me :) I am just a positive person, and I don't just wait for things to happen, I make them happen :) So yeah its pretty awsome....
