Hey Robert buy an external hard drive they are cheap nowadays transfer all your files there then format your computer and then transfer them back to your pc...that simple

you can make a backup disc using nero, and pick what files to put in which would use less discs then if you just burnt it to dvd......if u cant figure that out (it's easy...) just burn it to disc......
