Indeed, it was brutally cold in Colorado this winter. Global warming is a hoax because global warming was worse in the first half of the 20th century than in the 2nd half, when pollution was far worse.

ME. I also follow NASA, Norad, weather channels and a list as long as this state. I am from Hawaii. My family is mostly there and it is an island. Water. Now you can not dispute the evidence something has gone ammuck. The polar regions are melting, bizarre weather? I got teased staying in Florida for a bit and in Hawaii we had a earthquake and more rain than I have seen in my 30+ years there. I went home this time last year and my favorite mall was underwater in a ritzy part of town and the streets were flooded cop cars flooded buses stalled. It was a monsoon. Florida no major incidents but wild tornado's.
Yahoo linked a it's not due to pollutants it's a planetary change. Mars is having severe wind storms and their polar caps are melting. The Mars Mission is headed by a Iranian.
Yo do some research. Aside from local temps the rest of the planet/ planets are acting rather unusual.

As presented, global warming is just that... a charade. There is evidence (such as other planets warming up) that the earth is on a cycle of warming up and evidence that suggests the sun is warming up which in return is warming the earth.
However, I believe the current coverage to be nothing more than propaganda to distract us from more important issues. I'm not by any means trying to say global warming is not an issue that needs to be looked at or dealt with.. it is just an issue that we can put on the back burner (pun intended).
Lets look at things like our liberty being attacked, lets look at the em workers and volinteers from 9/11 having major health issues and not being taken care of, lets look at our current world outlook - lets not sit here and talk about Britney Spears having her head shaved and global warming.

I have been paying attention to both sides of the argument. There are scientists who disagree with the global warming THEORY.... there have been major major climate shifts all through history, and this may be just another one. Look at what the climate is doing on MARS right now, or look at how the SUN is acting lately.... I agree that we definalty need to take better of our planet... but Im not sure that we (mankind) are entirely to blame for what is going on here.... more research is needed... UNBIASED research, that is. Research that isnt politcally motivated.

I have to agree with you on this. I think humans have to be awful conceited to believe they control anything much less the world weather. Humans may destroy humans but the world is God's to destroy, not ours. If God decides we are not worth the trouble to teach anything to,then maybe this is how he will eliminate us.
In Illinois, it has also been Scientifically proven that around 1300 AD the weather heated to about 6 degrees higher than it is now. Crops failed, people starved and drought ruined the land. This is most likely what brought the Mound Indians to virtual extinction at least in the Cahokia Mounds area.

I hate to inform you, but there are more scientists coming out against the human causation of ‘global warming’ theory than there are those coming out in support of it (Boston Globe 8/30/06, “MIT’s Inconvenient Scientist”/ L'Express, May 10, 2006, Claude Allègre,( one of the original global warming alarmists- now states that original conclusion as having been faulty) French geophysicist, Institute of Geophysics/ George C. Marshall Institute, Policy Outlook, September 2003, Robert C. Balling, Jr., director of the Office of Climatology and an associate professor of geography at Arizona State University/ San Francisco Examiner, July 12, 2006 and in Wall Street Journal, June 26, 2006, Page A14, Richard Lindzen, MIT meteorology professor and member of the National Academy of Sciences/ George C. Marshall Institute Washington Roundtable on Science and Public Policy, April 17, 2006, Roy Spencer, principal research scientist, University of Alabama in Huntsville/ Russian News & Information Agency, Jan. 15, 2007, Khabibullo Ismailovich Abdusamatov, at Pulkovskaya Observatory of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the supervisor of the Astrometria project of the Russian section of the International Space Station/Sallie Baliunas, Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics – though there are many more, due to time limitations I will not go any further with listing scientists arguing against the human causation of global warming). It should be obvious that there is no consensus in regards to the theory. The majority not minority, of scientists find that there is little evidence to support the outlandish claims made by Mr Gore in his movie. Since the release of his movie, Gore has been attacked by real scientists regarding the ‘science’ used as the basis of his movie. Mr Gore has since recanted publicly on numerous occasions the accuracy of statements made within his movie ( still looking for the arcticle & will post when I find it). The real clueless ones appear to be those reacting to sensationalistic headlines.

first off Al gore invented the internet. He's really smart. But my question is. How did we get out of the ice age without us here to warm the world? There must have been more of those methane powered Fintstone mobiles then they are telling us.

Charade..? surely you jest. You mean to tell me you actually don't notice a change of climate from 10 or 15 years ago where ever it is that you reside, and don't think it's caused by global warming..? It's because of people like you who don't care. I bet you don't care because you don't have small children who will have to endure the rough changes that this planet will have to endure because by the time when our air conditioning will have to be on all year round you'll be dead. God please help me tolerate these ignorant people.
or maybe where ever it is you'll be living at will be flooded already, Good!
