There are numerous theories for the demise of humans or Earth as we know it.
First: Scientist suggest a big asteroids will hit the Earth within the next 20 years and destroy all that we as humans know.
I.e... the extinction of the dinosaur theory will happen to us.
Second: Man will destroy himself by pollution and war
Third: It has been stated that man is like a virus always populating and consuming. Scientist have concluded that the carrying capacity of the Earth is about 13 billion people and then Earth will not be able to support us.
Forth: Man will be destroyed by disease:
Fifth: God will return in 2027 and end Earth, Revelations New Testament
So, maybe we have only about 20 years left..... Have fun!

On a human scale we probably have another 200 to 400 hundred years to go.
On a universal scale, the farthest galaxies probably went out of existence billions of years ago..
The milky way is probably an end stage in the evolution of the universe estimating the length of time to it's demise is not really practical, but one day the universe will go out of existence.

Situation will continue to go worse through more 18,500 years approx. We have already spent about 2500 years out of 21,000 years.
It will become the worst for about 42,000 years, thereafter.
Oceans will continue to become extreme (look at Earth quakes in Oceans and Tsunami). Now, the biggest problem of the Global warming. Ice melting will enable ocean swallowing many places located on a sea shore. Temperature will continue to rise and humans will not be able to prevent the situation getting worsen day by day. 3-4 rivers will remain on the planet as the source of the natural rivers (ice) will lapse due to global warming. Each river will be about 6 feet wide, bank to bank. Ocean temperature will continue to rise and hence, dangerous creatures will find their home in rivers. Humans will have to struggle to find the sweet water. Average human life will reduce to about 15 years. Today the world is fighting for Oil and days will come to fight for the water.
The situation continued for about 42,000 years will eliminate the total pollution from the earth. Then once again it will start improving. Ozone layer will become recharged and will get dense. Solar rays will become of no more worry. It will help plants to grow. Oxygen cycle will improve and gradually the life span will also improve. Oceans will become normal and ice building on poles will start building once again. It will improve the flow of water in the rivers and they will become wider.

Scientifically, no, there is 5 x 10^9 years available.
Religiously, these times are known as "anterior to written records and events", are profusion & trials. Climax is less than 1.74 centuries away. Little by little, things will worsen as time prevails. Your future descendants will have more to deal with. Mark my word.

We have always been in the END TIMES.Problem being we are not sure when.If you believe in God,he is going to send his Son back to Earth to judge his people. This could happen any time so it is better to be prepared.Time to God is not the same as we measure it .To God 1 day could be a1000 years and a 1000 years could be a day.

Yep . . . our Sun is about half way through its life span. When it goes, we go. A medium sized sun such as ours has a life span of about 10 billion years. So our demise is just around the corner . . . about 5 billion years from now.
We can all relax on that issue.

YES and to prove it, you should read the book of Daniel in the Bible, if your local church Minister cannot explain it to you and give you a satisfactory answer, then find your local Jehovah's Witnesses and ask them to explain it to you; I'm sure they will do a good job

yea..i seriously doubt humans will be able to survive much longer..will all the chaos in the world..most importantly global warming, ozone depletion.
As for the Earth..yea..it'll survive..even after our sun dies out. (unless the sun collapses into itself forming a black hole)
P.S. humans will die out way before the sun
