I've had three children I raised alone, who are now in their forties and have children. This made me a grandpa. I enjoyed it. However, my wife and I adopted a baby from china and she is something special, or I'm more relaxed as a parent, because I'm having more fun then I had with the first kids or the grandkids.

speaking from my own experience i would say yes. with your own children you have to worry about doing what is right for each child and knowing you are the only one responsible for that child. with your grandchildren all you have to do is have fun with them...no worries!

Having grandchildren is the BEST. They are like your own kids but you aren't responsible for supporting them. :)
