Teen pregnancies are actually down (do some research). There are many reasons teens become pregnant. One teen could have gotten married at 17 and started her family young. Another could have ben raped walking home from the library. Another could have been using protection while having intercourse with her boyfriend when the protection failed. Some teens do it for attention. There is never one reason why teen pregnancies exist. Oh, yes there is. Humans are made to mate with one another. Hormones are very high and people usually tend to listen to those hormones. Pregnancy is a part of nature.

because kids these days are brought up by the media. the media is displaying hot sexy girls and these young girls then think oh this is what the guys want so I'm going to dress like this not knowing what the consequences may be.

consequences as in; older males perving, rape, sex etc.
It's really how the parents raise their children also. if they let their little girl wear revealing clothing then they should know that theres a possibility their child is getting perved on by a perverted male.

another reason why kids are having sex is because they have nothing better to do or because of peer pressure.

See now days its not cool to be a virgin, its cool to be a s**t with a sexually transmitted disease.

These reasons are based on activities in my high school:
1. A lot of schools including mine do not teach sex ed
2. A lot of teenage guys (especially at my school) do not use condoms
3. Bad influences, Lust, and peer pressure
4. All or most atheletes are expected to "score" on and off the field/court. - a stupid reason but it does happen which ties into peer pressure
5. With the ones that acatually do use condoms, improper condom usage.
6. Bad decision making on both parts, male and female so sum all of this up

i am not going to be well liked, but here goes....

there are too many kids that DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT GOES ON AND HOW IT HAPPENS!
There are many kids who are uninformed as to the facts of life...
I see questions here like, can i get pregnant my first time, can i get pregnant if he pulls out before he squirts, can i get pregnant if he squirts on me, I rub my hand in it and then finger myself...can i get pregnant if the condome breaks...
will i get her pregnant if i pull out...can she get pregnant if i masturbate and ejaculate on her vagina, but did not put my penis in her....
there is also the it can not happen to me attitude...
i can't get pregnant.i just had my period...i can't get her pregnant because i wear whitey tighties...
i mean just read some of the questions one night...i am 13 and my bf and i did it last night...could i be pregnant..i am 15 and my 12 year old gf and i did it last night...
c'mon...any time you do it you can get pregnant...no one takes responsibility for birth control...the girl thinks the boy shoudl bring it and the boy thinks the girl should bring it...the boy will say..."it's not my fault...she got my dick all hard up and then she didn't have a rubber, we did it anyway and now she's pregnant and she's blaming me...
or similar...
NOT getting pregnant is everyones responsibility...girls should refuse to have intercourse until he coughs up a condom...or if they are dead set on getting this guy laid, bring your own...
think about it...10 minutes of fun, agony, excitement, pain, hurry and get it over with...could leave you with 2 things...a baby or a disease...
if I had it all to do over again...(iwas 13 when i lost my virginity to my 16 year old babysitter) and some nights in high school i would leave one girls house after getting laid and go over to another girls house and get a BJ...i was a real snake...i probably had sex 350 times with 75-80 girls in high school and college was very similar...
i am ashamed of what i did to all of those girls...screwed em and left em...i would have saved myself and not tempted fate...i only got one girl pregnant (condom broke) and then she ended up having a miscarriage (i was 16 1/2) and she was 15.
yes, i was a real scoundrel...and you have girls on this site that say...i am 14, all my friends have lost their virginity, why can't i lose mine?
I wish i could say...save it for someone your love forever (and not just tonight)...i would hope that you would see less teenage pregnancies, make girls and boys more responsible...get the boys off the "how many girsl can i get laid before i turn 18" thinking...make boys use condoms...and not this weenie excuse: they deaden the feeling, they interrupt the mood, they are uncomfortable, i dont have a quarter....too bad...no tickee no washee...
sorry, but i feel that there are too many people that slept thru sex ed and have no clue, nor do they want the responsibiltiy even if they did not sleep!

Parents aren't making sure that teenagers are supervised after school or during breaks. Teenagers still need someone around most of the time. Additionally, they need to be involved in constructive extra-curricular activities (Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, sports, school clubs, volunteering, church youth activities).

Simple answer: there aren't. Check the statistics. Teen pregnancy rates have been falling for at least twenty-five years.

ATTITUDE! even though teen nowadays are educated but they do not seem to bother.why? It's their attitude, their discipline and their parents who do not know the friends they are mixing with.

They also want to be doing the "IN-THING". and do not want to be left out. They don't practice safe sex. and want to explore things without thinking bout their future.

So, i really hope teens start thinking bout it over again..before taking the next step cuz if not, there will be many single parents coming up. Please don't.

It starts out with having a little fun.
It gets to be really important to keep the feeling going.
It feels a whole lot better.
It becomes really URGENT to be together.
Condoms are NOT a top priority right now.
It felt so right, nothing bad could happen.
Well, it could after all.

A lot of teens are scared to ask their parents about protection. They fear that if they ask about condoms or birth control, their parents will freak out and accuse them of being sexually active and punish them.
At least that's how it was when I was in high school.

Cause most of them have rude parents and doing this crap is their way of getting relaxation. It's beyond stupid. That's why protection was made. But I forgive any teen who gets pregnant because I'm a Christian and that's what I do =)
