Here you guys check out the design. What would be best side cover on or off ? The side is like 4 CM's away from the wall thing in my PC desk thing though.

Leave the cover on. The engineers spend a fair amount of effort to get the cooling correct.

It'll probably run cooler with the cover off but you'll expose the insides to all kinds of dust and other nasty things so its best to leave the cover on and just make sure the computer is in a well ventilated area

Keep the covers on.

Imagine if you have a fan at one end of a paper towel tube, the airflow would be directed out the other end.

Now, cut the sides out of that tube and the air will be everywhere.

It will stay a few degrees cooler with the cover off but you will get alot more dust inside.

Cover on, and add a case fan or two if you don't have them. Pull the air in the front and push is out the back. If only 1 fan use in back of case.

With the cover off, heat would dissipate more quickly.

cover on is always better, it allows for proper airflow across the components
