Spartans begin training in early childhood, to become warriors, their society was built on it. Romans went to a boot camp like training, but they had better supplies and weapons, It would come down to heart, courage and leadership.

History tells you the answer. The Greeks, Spartans included, were conquered by the Romans in a series of wars between 215BC and 148BC.
The question of whether 'man for man' the Romans matched the Spartans doesn't matter. The Roman method - not unlike US Grant's advance on Richmond during the Civil War - relied on constant replenishment of fallen troops, and advancing after every defeat, as well as every victory. Heroics don't achieve much against a 'well oiled', 'well fuelled' war machine.

I wish Spartans could win... But however, all of Greece was conquered by the Romans... Meaning the big Athens navy, the Elite Macedonian army, the **** kicking Spartans, and all other city states...

Let's see, the Romans had superior armor and weapons, but the spartans had superior training. In this senario, no mention is made to the leadership involved. Assuming no leader the spartans would kick butt.

Romans. Man to Man no army could match the Roman Phalanx. This formation and their use of the short sword made them devastating. They made war a science not just brute strength. Plus the Romans actually conquered all of Greece by 160 BC and a much weakened Sparta.

Romans because they fight with strategy and technology. The Spartans died off because they never advance their technology.

don't know depends on how diciplined they were. roman battle formation called a "Turtle" against the spartan battle formation called a shield wall or " Phalanx", would be too close to call.
