Ok so here is my story tell me what you think! I usually have a 27 day cycle but my periods have been coming closer together and very light. I was due for one yesterday, but it didn't happen. I feel very bloated and have wierd cravings (hot fudge and pickles). I took a pregnancy test well two of them and both came back negitive... but it was wierd where the plus was supposed to cross the negitive. the ink didn't bleed through. this happened on both tests. so it was like a dashed line. I cry for no reason and my doggie won't leave my side. When my fiancee comes near my stomach he trys to bite him. I don't know what is going on or even if I should think anything of it. Im almost 18 so going to the doctor without my parents finding out is kinda hard. So is there a secret to knowing if you are pregnant without using a test or going to the doctor.

Don't try the squeezing your nipples that someone suggested....the milk supply doesn't come in until a few days AFTER the baby is born (you can leak colostrum before hand, but that is not til the second trimester). Wait a few more days and take another test if you are worried. If that test doesn't come out, and your period still has not come, then I'd suggest you try to contact a crisis pregnancy center. A lot are run by Christian organizations, and they will give you a free pregnancy test (some times even an exam) even though you are a minor.

To answer your last question, no there is no way to tell if you are pregnant for sure without going to a doctor or taking a pregnancy test. And the pregnancy tests you buy at a drugstore can have false negatives and false positives, so the best thing you can do is go to a doctor.
Since it sounds like you are getting married soon, it is time to start being in control of your life. Whether or not you choose to tell your parents is fine, but you need to go to your family doctor or a Planned Parenthood-esque clinic and get a real pregnancy test done.

I would take the test FIRST thing in the morning the hormones will be more concentrated. Also instead of urinating on the stick use a dixie cup then dip the stick till you see the ink line about (10seconds). If you still haven't gotten the visit by the end of next week contact planned parenthood they can do the test and offer an explanation if you are not expecting. Stress and changes in exercise routines can alter your cycle too.

I think you should go get the Clear Blue Digital test. I took 2 test before and they came back negative. I had seen a commercial for the Digital test 1 and a half hours after i took the 2nd test, went and bought it and took it when I came home and it was positive. I think they are a better test and gives you a more accurate reading. I don't know of a secret, but I would really try the Clear Blue Digital!!! Taking two home pregnancy test, if you did them correctly, usually are pretty acurate. But don't stess! Stressing out can delay your period even longer. The real way to be totally certain is go to the DR. I am sure there is a planned parenthood or some other type of teen-free clinic in your state that you can go to. Its all confidential and it goes off your wages on how to pay. So if you don't work it will all be free.

The tests are pretty accurate, but there's always that one one/hundredth of a chance it's wrong. Also, be sure you used one that tests as early as possible. If the results were strange, try a different brand and see what happens. One other important sign to look for is tenderness of the breasts. If you need to see a doctor, call Planned Parenthood.

Well if the line was faint (meaning you could see a little bit of the line) than it was most likely positive. Wait a few more days to test again. As there are more hormones the better the result. But if you have a fiancee im sure your parents know you are having sex, and with sex comes babies..

Everyone is different when it comes to symptoms and such...I would try a different brand of home test- Early Response or Clearblue Easy are ones I have used.
Another possibility...do you have a Planned Parenthood office in your town? They can help you find out without parental consent...and offer you options if you want them.
