Seeing that there were 3 Republicans in her delegation as well as several others in their entourage - you only want to demonize in order to bolster your talking points.
It is not in the least unusual for the Speaker to go on fact finding missions. Pelosi also fully supported the Bush agenda, she wasn't there to undermine anyone's agenda-
PLUS if something ever happened to the Bush and Cheney, guess who would be president? So shouldn't the Speaker mingle in the same circles as th other top officials-

I'll just assume that since there were also three Republicans in Syria at the same time as Speaker Pelosi (God, how I love to write that title), you are just trying to throw flack to distract people from the ever-unfolding scandals of the failed Bush Administration.

I don't imagine that she had to leave for the laughter to begin. I imagine that they were laughing from the moment that she decided to go there.
